That is exactly why we at wienzwoelf develop backpacks that are sturdy, well thought out and weatherproof – and look good, too.

Our backpacks carry the history of old sea bags within them. Each one is made from carefully reconditioned materials that have already lived a life. Even the buckle comes from the original sea bag. This gives every piece its very own character. Your backpack thus becomes a one-off that embodies both sustainability and craftsmanship.

Functionality that convinces

A backpack has to be practical if it accompanies you day after day. That is why we paid attention to many details in the design that make your life easier. Inside you will find two slip pockets that help you keep things organised. There is also a padded laptop compartment that can additionally be closed with a zip. This not only protects your laptop from scratches but also keeps it safely stowed. On both sides of the backpack there is room for water bottles or other things you want to have quickly to hand.

There is additional storage space on the front, too: a compartment with hook-and-loop fastener offers room for everything you often need on the go, such as gloves, a notebook or keys. This storage space makes the backpack even more flexible and underlines that it is suitable for many situations.

The backpack's closure is simple and at the same time a striking design element. It is rolled up and closed with a strap. This not only makes the backpack weatherproof but also gives it its clean, urban look that goes with any outfit.

Materials with history

The shoulder straps are made of recycled fire hoses. They are extremely hard-wearing, comfortable to carry and hold up even when your backpack is heavily loaded. Combined with the sturdy sea bag materials, the result is a product that will accompany you reliably for many years. Whether rain, snow or sunshine – your backpack remains a dependable companion.

Colours and sizes

The backpack is available in the base colours black or grey. For the lower storage section you can choose between dark brown, light brown, cream or black. This creates timeless colour combinations that look both classic and modern. So your backpack not only matches your personal style perfectly but also a wide variety of everyday situations – whether business look, casual outfit or sporty urban.

To match your lifestyle exactly, the backpack comes in two sizes. The smaller version measures 13 cm deep, 30 cm wide and 56 cm high when fully unrolled and has a capacity of around 21.6 litres. The larger version is 16 cm deep, 35 cm wide and 60 cm high, offering around 33.6 litres of volume. Whether you are looking for a backpack for work, university or leisure – both versions are designed to offer plenty of storage space and carrying comfort.

Handwork with personality

Every backpack is handmade in our workshop in Klagenfurt. From cutting the sea bags to the final inspection, every step is carried out in careful handwork. Since we make each piece individually for you, it can take up to three weeks for your backpack to reach you. This wait is worth it, though, because in the end you will hold a unique product in your hands that was made just for you.
